Pedal for a Purpose: Cycling Promotes Mental and Physical Wellness!
Mayhem Cycling and CyclePaths of Greensboro, in collaboration with the RJ Strong Foundation, are proud to host the 3rd Annual Pedaling for Mental Health Bike Ride. This special event coincides with Mental Health Awareness Month, emphasizing the importance of balancing mental and physical health.
We're inviting adults and children aged 12 and up, especially students, teachers, healthcare workers, and essential workers, to join us in this empowering ride for a cause.
What Makes This Ride Special?
- Noncompetitive routes for all skill levels:
- 20K (12.5 miles): Perfect for beginners or those looking for a leisurely ride.
- 50K (31 miles): A moderate challenge for intermediate cyclists.
- 100K (62 miles): A rewarding route for experienced riders.
- Socially distanced time-trial style start for your safety.
- SAG (Support and Gear) vehicles patrolling the clearly marked routes.
- Well-stocked rest areas to refuel and recharge along the way.
Ride for Mental Health Awareness
All net proceeds from this event will be donated to the Brenner Children's Mental Health Fund, supporting vital programs that provide care and resources for children in need.
Registration Fees:
- Early Bird Registration (thru 3/31/25): $45
- Regular Registration (4/1/25 - 5/2/25): $55
- On-Site Registration (5/3/25): $60 (includes $5 paper registration fee)
(All fees include an event T-shirt while supplies last.)

Cycling Safety Tips
- Proper attire: Helmet, padded shorts, cycling jersey/shirt, and proper shoes required.
- Hydrate and fuel: Drink water or electrolyte drinks and pack snacks. Avoid high-protein foods.
- Be alert: Use hand signals, stay right, and communicate with fellow riders.
- Stretch: Before, after, and during rest stops.
- Have fun! A smile makes every mile easier.
Medical Support:
For emergencies, notify a staff member, volunteer, or SAG vehicle. If unable to do so:
- Call 911 for immediate medical assistance.
- Use the number on your bib for SAG support for minor issues.
